The former President of the United States is found GUILTY!!!
74) Donald Trump is guilty on 34 out of a possible 34 charges in his hush money trial against a porn star!
Donald Trump is now officially a felon.
Some might say all politicians are crooked. But not all politicians have criminal records. This isn’t like we are looking to elect a mayor of a city with prior convictions, or a state legislator who was beloved once and returned to form. This is for the President of the United States.
This is a man who is surrounded by criminals, convicted felons. This is not normal. This former President is a disgrace. People who say otherwise, have their own agenda or their own gripe with the world. I’m sorry if that comes off as offensive, I really am, but I still don’t quite know how some people are able to rationalize their support for him.

For those that see this case as lacking merit, the best analogy I can come up with is OJ Simpson getting off for a double murder, yet going to prison for the sports memorabilia scandal. Whereas Trump has gotten away with a ton of crap, namely his role in the January 6, 2021 capitol insurrection, and his active attempt to subvert the will of the people during a free and fair election. Yet he’s gotten nailed for paying off a porn star in a hush-money case. (Seems almost fitting). Nobody appeared to feel bad for OJ when he finally went to jail. Why do people feel bad for Trump?
Actually, to move away from two of the most famous reality TV stars, and to keep this in the political arena, Trump’s guilty charge (on 34 out of a possible 34 counts) is more comparable to when Hillary Clinton was being raked over the coals in 2016 for how she used her personal email account for professional reasons.
“The charges aren’t like the felony indictments Trump is facing from prosecutor Jack Smith over trying to overturn the 2020 election. They are more like the allegations Hillary Rodham Clinton was facing in 2016 — and which Trump ceaselessly exploited — of improperly conducting official business on her personal email account. That controversy was damaging not because the underlying crime was so grave but because for many people it painted a picture of someone who thought she operated above the rules.”
For any like-minded American who finds another Trump Presidency a consequential direction you don’t want to see the country take, I encourage you to continuously remind people of the verdict against Trump on May 30, 2024. He was found guilty on all 34 counts. 34/34.
For anyone to be found guilty on 100% of all charges, when the list is so long….well, it sure as heck is not a good look. Politics is optics, and the optics for Trump just are not good.
Another term of a Joe Biden Presidency might not be the best foot forward, but it is not a back-wards move that a Donald Trump Presidency would present. We already have fallen back way too far under Trump’s watch. His attempted coup of the 2020 Presidential election is honestly one of the most embarrassing events I ever witnessed in American politics.
That’s really saying something, as Trump’s term was pretty embarrassing on the whole. The bedrock of America’s democracy has been our free and fair elections, where the peaceful transfer of power has been the unspoken rule, not some agreement that can be broken by some goon who stumbled into the Oval Office.
What also makes America considered a modern and advanced democracy is adequate healthcare for everyone including women. In America if a woman carries an unwanted and/or unhealthy pregnancy, her right to choose to carry that pregnancy to term or not is not an issue that should ever be infringed upon. Health Care is a right, and as the original long standing ruling on abortion in “Roe v Wade”, a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy is a matter of privacy. It should never be some publicity stunt politicians use to garner votes or attention or to inflict pain and harm on vulnerable women and girls under the age of 18.
I do understand people’s anger and disenchantment with the left. Yet, that is not an excuse for Trump to be our next President. It should not have been an excuse for him to be the Republican nominee. Frequently in cable news you see a liberal leaning commentator get canned at the same time a conservative leaning commentator does. It happened in 2023 with Don Lemon & Tucker Carlson. The same thing happened with Glenn Beck and Keith Olbermann in 2011.
I’m not sure too many people would be all that disappointed if the Democratic Party and Republican Party both agreed to replace their Presidential Nominees with two different choices.
I’m not even going to speculate on how or who. Some say the whole debate (the first one being scheduled for June 27th) between Biden and Trump is an insurance policy for Democrats to see if Biden is really up for the task on re-election. Whether this is true or not, I’m not sure.
The office of the Presidency is not a one man job. Biden has a team of capable people surrounding him, all of whom are not convicted criminals. I can not say the same for Trump. And the former President being found guilty by a jury of his peers on 34 out of a possible 34 counts, should be his death-knell.
Sadly, for all of us this freak-show of election will just continue to march on. But in another era, a man like Trump would have had to stand down a long time ago!
Peace, Blessings & Love!

Why does modern-day politics look the way it looks?
One documentary I watched that really painted a bleak, but poignant picture for me was “The Social Dilemma”. Click on the story below to read the review.
