For myself, I get my current news and sports on YouTube. I am an on again off again cable subscriber. 3 months out of the year I like cable, and that is APRIL-JUNE for the NBA Playoffs. The rest of the year, if the game (any sports game) is that compelling to me, I'll go somewhere to watch it.
The IST did get me more interested. Just not interested enough to get cable back for it. But, I do like all the bball content it created for the media ecosystem reliant on the NBA.
Simply stated, the NBA is the league to talk about and watch highlights on. I'm curious to see the NBA's other revenue streams, other than viewership. That and, the NBA really has had a major "load-management problem". The IST along with other reforms has made real genuine attempts to address that. This season became way more relevant way earlier this year. Usually, it's not until Xmas.
As for Ethan's piece, I'm happy you have provided us another gem of longform piece, even if it was a bit contrived. I enjoy reading comments here, and I have missed your long-form content Ethan. Nowadays, pieces like this feel like a once in a blue thing. Back in 2021 early 2022, this was the norm for you.
Interesting perspective in terms of education.
I'm curious about all this supposed new information that's going to 'soon be shared.'
Agree about the Stone film.
“The Web of Conspiracy”, by Theodore Roscoe is one of the best Lincoln assassination books you’ll find. My copy is well worn.
Like many things, the things not told are where it’s at.
Awesome! That book is now on my (extensive) Amazon wish-list.
And it might be on my wish list for a while. Hard cover is $45 and the paperback is $70. LOL
I bought mine years ago - it’s in the permanent collection - Ed Griffin used it for “The Creature From Jekyll Island”.
